Deep Tissue Massage (therapeutic)
Deep tissue massage is designed to relieve pain and muscle tension throughout the body. This type of massage is extremely beneficial because it reaches the deepest layer of muscles, fascia (the connective tissue surrounding the joints), and tendons. The goal in deep tissue massage is to break down adhesions (tense area within the muscle). Adhesions in the muscle are very important to address because they cause pain, inflammation and limit motion of the muscles and joints.

Hot Stone Massage

The hot stone massage therapist heats stones to 120–140º F and rubs them over your oiled body resting them on top of your stomach, palms and back. The stones’ warmth enhances the relaxing effects of the pressure. Some people believe the stones have healing, grounding qualities, which makes hot stone massage a more profound experience than your basic massage. Recommended in particular for individuals suffering from fibromyalgia, arthritis, or other chronic pain. The penetrating effects of the heated stones allow the massage to be delivered without excessive pressure.

Reflexology

Reflexology

Reflexology is a system of bodywork used to relieve tension and treat illness, based on the theory that there are reflex points on the feet, hands, and head linked to every part of the body. During the session, the client remains clothed and lies comfortably on the massage table. The therapist applies a combination of reflex stimulation and relaxing massage to the feet, lower legs, arms, hands, and head to help to stimulate the reflexology points connected to different body organs and glands. Reflexology is simple and safe for anyone to receive.

Ashiatsu Barefoot Bar Therapy

Ashiatsu Barefoot Bar Therapy is a type of massage technique that involves the therapist using their feet to apply deep pressure to the client's muscles. The therapist holds onto overhead bars for balance and support while walking on the client's back, legs, and feet, using the pressure of their body weight to deliver a deep and therapeutic massage. The broad surface area of the feet allows for more even pressure distribution and can be especially effective for targeting large muscle groups and areas of chronic tension or pain. Ashiatsu Barefoot Bar Therapy is often used to alleviate back pain, improve posture, increase circulation, and promote relaxation.
